Six new research projects with ALP.Lab participation

ALP.Lab offers a wide range of services for research projects. As innovation laboratory, ALP.Lab enables institutions or organized groups of independent partners to have open access to tangible and intangible RTI infrastructure and / or specific expertise.

In the first half of 2021, six research projects with ALP.Lab participation were approved.

UT4AD

Assistance systems have to be tailored to the users in order to be used safely by them. In the UT4AD project, optimized methods are being developed to test the acceptance and use of such systems.

Project duration: 01.04.2021 – 31.03.2023

Synthetic Cabin

Safety systems such as airbags work better the more precisely the position of the vehicle occupants is known – especially in autonomous cars. In the SyntheticCabin project, simulation workflows are to be created that make it possible to efficiently test such safety systems in a wide variety of positions.

Project duration: 01.03.2021 – 31.08.2023

High-Scene

In this project, the existing 9000 traffic surveillance cameras from ASFINAG are to be used to generate e.g. anonymized training data for autonomous driving functions.

Project duration: 01.04.2021 – 31.03.2024

EUREKA testEPS

To ensure that environmental perception systems (EPS) correctly recognize country-specific differences in lanes, a cross-border test area between Austria and Hungary is being set up as part of this project. The project is a follow-up to the exploratory project from 2020.

Project duration: 01.09.2021 – 01.08.2024

Central System

In this project, a holistic solution for the support and operation of highly automated vehicles is to be developed and demonstrated in close cooperation with infrastructure elements and V2x communication.

Project duration: 01.09.2021 – 31.08.2024

Diana4CCAM

Data circles bring different data sources together and combine them to create added value. The aim of this project is to develop a data circuit concept for the implementation of new, innovative AI functions in the mobility sector.

Project duration: 01.07.2021 – 31.03.2022
