The Austrian test region ALP.Lab is the one-stop shop for testing of automated driving functions and whole vehicles.

The test region covers comprehensive testing opportunities on private and public test tracks. The in-house data management and data broker systems link the individual phases of our test chain covering ADAS/AD active safety test equipment, mobile HiL platforms, driving demonstrators and traffic monitoring systems. Our clients and customer network includes OEMs, TIER suppliers and many worldwide operating and leading technology companies.

Founded in 2017, the company operates from its headquarters in Graz, Austria. Our ADAS/AD testing team is located with direct connection to a proving ground at the test center in Allhaming, Austria.

Traffic monitoring with high-tech
Thanks to radar, lidar and optical sensors – mounted at road crossings – road users are automatically recognized anonymized (so-called object-based monitoring) in order to generate real-time data from real, complex traffic situations. Anonymously by design
A 360 ┬░ lidar sensor was installed at the Petersgasse / Inffeldgasse intersection in Graz. In all ALP.Lab projects, data is recorded in compliance with data protection regulations, since the sensors only perceive road users as “moving objects”.

Safe – today and in the future
The data collected by ALP.Lab can be used by municipalities, traffic planner, Research &Development institutions and in scientific projects, e.g. to increase road safety or as training data for the development of autonomous driving systems based on AI.
